Great Old Games (GOG.com)

Anybody else know any other way for payment other then CC and Scampal ?

I can no longer use any of my credit cards due to Cyprus having an aweful reputation for fraud.

I have emailed them but I have little hope in them responding due to them also being based there too.

Have you tried to use a prepaid card to order from GOG?

No, whats the point if you already have a couple of CC's on hand to use ?

I get what you are saying, however I have no need for pre-paid cards, then of course the issue is that they are using a cc processor based in Cypruss, hence why these types of cards may not work either.

Poke a good friend you can trust without your limitations to buy it for you Not me though, I distrust old people so you won't have any cooperation from me!

(and I don't have a CC since they are hardly used in the NL).

Well then, maybe I can gift some STEAM games for you and you can repay me in kind with some GOG games gifted to me

I see Rayman Orgins is number 1 on your list and also you want the Skyrim Expansion Dawnguard too...

Whoops, missed your reply. I can't help you because I can't pay on GoG As I said, I lack a credit card nor have I any intention to get one. And Paypal... no way Jose. Experiences of people on this site alone make me not touch it with a ten foot pole.

But feel free to gift me those games!

Well now, it seems you and I feel the same way about scampal then.

The only reason my CC's will not work is simply because they use a cc processor based in Cypruss, if they used one in Europe then chances are all would be good.

Strange how last year I could use by cards but this year nope.

I wonder why companies continue to use something that is known to have a ton of fraud going on there and not try opening up alternate processors from another country or region ?

I know they say it's about transaction fees well, I can pay more for a GOG game.

I'd say cancel those CCs and go for one that isn't on any shitlists then... Not much use to have a credit card when you can't use it for what is important to you. And you can't tell me games aren't important to you, master of Steam

I've checked in on that, it's pretty much most CC issuers here in the states that have Cypruss on their no business list, I have no way of getting around that.

Good job, now if only I could get over feeling the way I do about scampal.

Well, at least if there are any freebees I can still get those.

I currently have only 32 games in the list, some are the freebees they have released to members.
