Help Needed With AmiTCP Please

Could someone please help me with amitcp?
My OS setup is built around a freinds system (she sent me a cf card with a nice setup on it), which actually has amitcp setup, so Im hoping minimal changes will need to be made.
Currently Ive got internet sharing enabled on my Windows box (whose internet is usb based), and have my amiga connected the the pcs nic. The nics ip changed after applying sharing to the usb connection as it should and enabling the tcp/ip stack on the amiga changes the network connection from disabled to connected.

Despite this though I cant seem to use any networking software on the amiga. I can try, but eventally it'll time out (tried both irc client and webbrowser).

Im using an a1200+pcmcia network card btw (same one as my friend who sent me the CF card with the OS setup).

So far Ive just tried changing the amigas ip to 192.168.0.2 in the startnet script, but am at a loss as what else to try.

Please bare in mind that Im not really a big network guru. I can usually muddle through, but its far from my forte.

Thanks, but I cant use youtube. My data allowance is too limit6ed (currently have about 20meg left to last me 5 days).
