Hi there DemonHellraiser,

I am sorry to read about your removal as a member from the Commodore Is Awesome site. I am a member of quite a lot of forums and I must admit that I have never heard of anything like this happening on any of them. The worst that happens to me is that I sometimes get an email to say that I have not been active on a site for more than a month etc, but that is generally down to health problems and the likes.

Hopefully your technical or other types of problems with access to the various sites has now been fully resolved and you can enjoy EAB and the many other forums that are available once again.

I do like the CIA site although I am not a member (on too many other forums as it is) but you have to remember that there is always the main sites like this one and Amibay, plus loads of other interesting sites to keep anyone's interests entertained.
So its a case of one door closes and loads of other options open.

All the best M8

A little update about Commodore Is Awesome

First we added video pages for the various machines to gather some interesting footage from YouTube there. It's still in an early stage, but hopefully you find it enjoyable.

We've also added a forum to the site now for those who want to talk about more than just one C= machine Have a look and maybe join us here : http://awesome.commodore.me/forum/index.php

We apologise to everyone for the website and forum going down, however, we are working like ninjas to bring it back

The website will probably take the longest to become fully functional again, but the forum is now up and running again, although at this present time there really isn't much in there right now lol

If you would like to help, please post what you remember in this CIA THREAD

Cool CIA Forum Update

There has been some recent changes to the CIA forum, which I'll outline below:-
  • We have introduced email verification for registrations alongside our normal question & answer verification method, this has really helped us stop those evil spam bots
  • We have also added, but not enabled, some advanced CIA rules that must be agreed to before you can start posting on the forums. We will enable these in due course when registrations are coming in thick and fast. (once activated everyone who is already a member will also have to agree to the rules before they can continue to post or create threads).
  • We have introduced the old Blogger banners onto the forum but with a new twist/style. These can be seen on the header to the right on every page you visit, they will also rotate just like the banners on our current CIA website \o/
  • We have also introduced a really cool footer banner that almost spans the whole width of the forum, this banner repeats from the center and will always fill your screen no matter of it's resolution
  • Our Sticky threads are now separated from our normal threads to visually make it easier to see/notice them.
  • Finally, we have introduced a download/upload manager for our members, unfortunately it's still under construction/maintenance and can't currently be viewed, but hopefully within the next 12 hours, when I pull my finger out , it'll be fully functional \o/

So please give us a visit at the Commodore Is Awesome's Forum have a look around, join if you like what you see, and start posting about anything Commodore

Yup, been working extremely hard to get some of these things up and running This coding lark is quite fun + when it works it's quite an achievement for someone who's never really coded in PHP, html or java before Obviously some of it is very easy

Now for my next task.......... a rest tonight, then beer tomorrow night \o/
