Hi synchro, love both your launchers, this comes from someone who has struggled to use just about every front end launcher out there and never had much success! Yours worked fine right from the start though!
One thing I'd like to know - is it possible for me to add more games to the Amiga launcher myself? I've downloaded some of the file packages from the sites you linked to , but they seem to contain Zip files for each game, which have a SLAVE file and some other stuff in them - whereas the games in the folder are in HDF format. Is it possible to get the games in HDF format anywhere, and just drop them into the Amiga Launcher/games folder? Or would I need config files for them all as well? |

No sorry
Its not designed to add your own games....I build as i go and the idea was a one install launcher without the need for the hastle of setting up or having to add games...I will update periodicly and take game requests |

Still, if you are taking requests ... I think the collection of games you have on there is great and it would be hard to have a comprehensive collection of Amiga games while keeping it at a sensible size ... But a few more you should add, so you can cover some more of the bases ... I have tried to stick to games where the Amiga version is "definitive", but have included a few which were probably more popular on other platforms, but the Amiga version stood out in some way: Stunt Car Racer Defender of the Crown Hostages Ancient Art of War in the Sky Speedball 2 Shadow of the Beast 1 +2 Wrath of the Demon Xenon 2 R-Type 2 IK+ Deuteros The Next Millennium Populous 1 + 2 Mega Lo Mania Fire And Ice Rainbow Islands Leander James Pond 2: Robocod Hired Guns Dungeon Master + Chaos Strikes Back Barbarian 2 Heroquest The Bards Tale Eye Of The Beholder 1 + 2 Legend Oh also - It Came From The Desert appears to crash every time I get into the plane and push forward on the joypad. Probably a WinUAE problem rather than your program... Great launcher, the best ready-made one I've found yet. Last edited by jamielemon; 13 August 2012 at 23:29. |

Great, Thanks!
By the way I think it's good to have some more interesting/obscure games in there as well as the big names. Another little thing I noticed - Starglider 2 has the copy protection intact - so you can't play it from your launcher without the manual. Maybe you did this on purpose to make it authentic - however the Monkey Island 1 and 2 copy protection is cracked, so I'm not sure ... |

Heres how the Vic Launchers looking....There were some really good games worth playing but theres a lot of bad ones as well....I remember the mags back then...for every 10 games released only one was any good.
Those were the days you paid for the fantastic looking cover...Not the game ![]() ![]() ![]() |
