Yaaay, good for me

You still need a TV which accepts 15KHz video (like a TV) but this is perfect for you guys in the states who have no SCART?
But this would allow Euro users who have a "busy" SCART to connect their Amiga via Component?? I suppose if I have a SCART I should just use a SCART switcher as it should be cheaper?

This is the other project i have just finished. Picture quality is very good, it will work on Pal or NTSC systems (dependent on your native format of your Amiga and TV. NTSC = 480 and Pal =576. Monitor must support sync on green, i still have to do a few tests

Nice work. However, is it possible to skip compos(h)ite to save space and cost? It's already included on A600/1200.

the composite portion of the board costs like $1 to add for a capacitor, resistor, 2 pin header and a RCA plug. The AD724 will output composite and S-video so composite is there by default. The other part f the circuit is the component portion which is independent of the AD724. Therefore i can use the same board for those that want just composite/svideo and those that want component as well

The video adapter board will come in 2 flavours, first the basic svideo and composite output board enclosed in a case, the price would be $39 for that version,

The one with the component output would be $59 and will output either 480i or 576i dependent on location and also in a box .

The board is identical on both, the only difference is i dont add the extra components for the component video output on the $39 version (of course the componenent video version will also have the svideo and composite).

The person i asked to buy parts in the USA for me has gone AWOL so it appears i am out of pocket for the funds i sent him to purchase them and also don't have the 23 pin amiga RGB connectors that i asked him to buy.

So, i will need to source parts again. if you don't want the case, deduct $8. I can cut down 25 pin connectors to fit on the Amiga, but i really don't like doing that except for testing etc

Thumbs up

Hey Kipper!

Would you mind posting the schematic of your RGB to YPbPr device? I'm trying to build the same for a Jamma arcade machine. Original RGB monitor is flat dead so I will replace it with a component TV.

Your adapter seems to be exactly what I need.

Thanks!

Gimpy.
