The only time my pictures come out like airyes is when I am on lsd.

The camera is knackered.

I wouldn't tell every US customer to go down the Ebay route unless they are handy with a soldering iron or know someone with the appropriate skills.
I would like to compare buying from airey36 or buying from AmigaKit.
I take TONY 100%. With Tony, you are very likely to get what you paid for. If you don't like it, there's Ebay/PayPal protection to get your money back as a last resource.

WITH AMIGAKIT, BASICALLY THE BUYER HAS NO PROTECTION, especially for items heavier than 2kg. This is what happens: if anything goes wrong with AmigaKit, they will ORDER you to send the items back to them (AT YOUR EXPENSE). Then they tell you that an *expert engineer* is going to analise the items, and they will only partialy refund or exchange in case their *engineer* approves it. SO WHAT IS THE POINT OF PAYING JAIL PRICES to Amigakit, when you get this kind of very low level service? By the way, I bought from them 4 Amiga floppies some years ago. ONLY ONE WAS WORKING!!! I just took the loses and NEVER BOUGHT from them again.

On the other hand, everything I have bought from Tony has been working and almost as described. And I am amazed how he manages to do all his shop by himself. Kudos for Tony. Keep it up. You are amongst the ones giving life to the Amiga.

I've bought an A1200 KB (Described as yellowed and was... so fair enough), A1200 screws (sent quickly) so no complaints. I've found Tony friendly and flexible. So my experience has been good so far. Got to get some more bits shortly!

I just bought today an A1200 keyboard replacement. £12.80, including postage to Hungary! I know it will come in a basic bag, but that's what I would pay just to post a half-kilogram item back!
Amazing guy

Personally I don't really like the idea about debating/mentioning ebay sellers on forums.

Everyone has to make a living, and in my opinion: the only people who make 'good' money through ebay! is: ebay themselves!! They charge for the listing, then they charge for the sale, and finally paypal charge you again!!

Ebay charges are the main killer not the sellers.

Agree with you Keitha, Ebay is the main winner in Ebay trading... in many transactions the only one

Your comparison is invalid, and your conclusion impertinent. If you didn't take up the matter of the non-working floppies with AmigaKit, then you are not in a position to offer useful comment on the level of after sales service they may provide.
