Captain Hindsight appeared in Southpark season 14 and according to the authors, is a parody of James Cameron's comments after the Deepwater Horizon accident.

I'm Merlin for a couple of reasons. One is that I had an interest in military aviation as a youngster and there is the famous Rolls-Royce Merlin, the other is that my soldering iron is a magic wand that I wield as a Wizard, to bring poorly electronics back to life.
I also used to be an industrial chemist in the oils and chemicals industry. I have kept a keen interest in science and chemistry/alchemy, something that lead to Retr0bright coming into being a few years back. Merlin was an alchemist/magician in King Arthurs's court.

Back in highschool me and 2 others on the C64 would try hacking games. I was known firstly as the persuader. Then when I supplied many of the games I was then known as the source. The name has stuck for past 25 or so years.

I started using the name Hansel for a joke in online gaming, pc halo and bf3 etc, and it kind of stuck with everything i do on the net now lol.
It's a reference to Hansel from the Zoolander movies, the thought of a male model playing online gaming is hilarious in my opinion, and why not have a bit of fun. I also think Hansel in the zoolander movie is very funny, the whole concept of male models is funny ![]() Also when your having an awesome run in an online game then someone says to you, "Hansel, so hot right now, Hansel", it's a lot of fun! Maybe i have a weird sense of humour, i am an Ozzy after all!! Han. PS: My best buddy sometimes uses the name Derek, so when online gaming together we have walk off's, and try to do the ingame moves like the magnum, or blue steel ![]()

I'm fairly sure i've answered this before (although perhaps on another forum)
back in the days of Quakeworld and the 48.8 modem I used to just call myself Diablo with various incarnations using fancy ASCII art before and after my name. Then the game by the same name came out (i loved it!) and people accused me of stealing the name from the game, or being unoriginal amongst other things I also couldn't use that name on the Battle.net servers themselves either as it used an NPC's name.So then I changed my name to Diablothe2nd, the meaning of which is like successors to the throne in a monarchy, like Richard the 3rd etc. In other words i went from being the devil himself to being his offspring "The Antichrist" or "The Spawn of Satan" if you will ![]() |

It cames from the name of the fighter "Voldo" in Soul calibur on the Dreamcast.
For personnal reasons this games brought me some happiness in a very dark period of my life. |
