amiga 1200 picture flashing
hi all
I have just got myself an amiga 1200 which is working fine only problem is when ever it access a floppy drive hdd or cf card via pcmcia slot some flickering lines appear on screen but as soon as it stops accessing a drive they disapear. anyone any ideas? please |

There were issues like yours in some of A1200. They can be fixed but I don't remember exactly what should be done. Maybe somebody in this forum remembers the details.
BTW: are you using TV output or composite/RGB? |

i have tried through the tv aerial and rgb via scart socket both the same result

You need to solder a capacitor onto the mobo; it's a picture of the mod...

Tomcat and Zipper have the solution
 If yours is a 1D4 board then I can vouch for this fix. Here's a picture to show what's required.. Thanks to Franko for the piccie. If you need the part, just let me know via PM and I'll post one out FOC. |
