At least the PC Engine got a perfect arcade port. I don't care about a few replaced sprites in Bikuriman World. It's indeed a disappointment that they were't able to do a proper Amiga port of such a simple platformer. Imagine Factor 5 instead of Images Design.

The PC Engine port was almost identical to the original, but I remember being disapointed by those replaced sprites when I bought the imported HuCard back then, so with some friends we still went to a bar in my neighborhood where you could play to the coin-op (around 1990). And by the way we never managed to do the +60 Gold trick on the PC Engine version which was so enjoying in the arcade, I wonder if it were ever implemented for the PCE (and that alone was quite a disapointment). Actually the only way to to play perfect arcade game I found was to buy an arcade cabinet after 2 months of painful summer job in 92 because I was fed up with all those downgraded conversions I had for my computer/consoles of the time. And after that I never had so many friends in a few time !

And I agree, of course, I think WonderBoy in Monsterland could have been a quite perfect conversions for the Amiga (a bit less colourful though).

I would have loved to have seen the Data East arcade games Two Crude Dudes (Crudebusters) and Tumblepop on the amiga.

Also omeba versions of the specky games The Trap Door and Saboteur would have been quality.

I can't think of a game which I wanted on the Amiga. In fact, it was more the other way around: I'd have loved if Hybris was ported to the Sega Megadrive/genesis. I was curious what would have been made of Paul van der Valk's soundtracks using the Megadrive's FM soundchip.

Well, maybe Streets of Rage on the Amiga

onkelarie: play with Beats Of rage instead. It's also a nice one.

I'd like to see Need For Speed 1, Ridge Racer, Daytona USA or Cruisin' USA. Any of these, with F-15 III or some other decent flightsim, maybe with mission editor....

Wonderboy in Monsterland isn't that bad. Its one of the better arcade ports, unfortunately.

Outrun or Power Drift are what I would call a really bad port (both much worse than C64 versions!!)

Mmm, at least the bgm and sound effects are the same, and the developers even exactly reproduced (emulated ?) the original arcade PSG type of sound. So we could say it is a perfect arcade port in the audio department !

Blackhawk/Blackthorn. Looks like a miggy game, plays like a miggy game. Made by the same dudes that made lost vikings and other famous games. Absolute awesome game. Should have been on the amiga.

wasteland. One of the more graphic rpgs from that time. Would have benefited from nice ocs graphics and sound.

shadowrun snes version. This one also feels like an miggy game. Absolute awesome. should have been one the amiga.

I yearned so much for Command & Conquer, but Westwood abandoned Amiga
It could have run pretty well on a moderately expanded A1200.

Many early & mid 1980 arcade games could have been converted pixel-perfect on the miggy (Pacman, Pengo, Moon Patrol, Green Beret) but I guess retrogaming did not exist in the late eighties .

And slightly O.T. I wish most US. Gold ports weren't so crappy on the miggy
There is unfinished clone of Green Beret/Rush 'n' Attack for Amiga: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LjWuu8b58w
I think it could be better than original if finished.

I would love to see this running one day and although i can simply run an ST emulator, it would still be nice seeing this on a real machine

It certainly was, it was an absolutely piss poor port though. For me, The Company cracktro was at least 100 times more enjoyable than the game. I'd have liked to see the Simpsons arcade game on the Amiga, but only if it had more effort put into it than TMNT arcade game.

I think any game can be converted to any system if done correctly. There's Street Fighter 2 for Master System, and that's quite good (I know it was developed here in Brazil, I don't know if got a worldwide distribution. Brazil developed some nice games for Master System).

Street Fighter Alpha 2, all Toaplan shmups (Truxton, Hellfire, Dogyunn & cia), SNK games (Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting, for example, could be easily done), NBA Jam (This one isn't jap, I know ), more capcom games (Like 1941, Captain Commando or Cadillacs & Dinossaurs). More konami games would be cool too, like Gradius & Salamander, as Akira said, or Xexex, Dobble Dribble 2, Aliens...

@ Drake 1009

You said Lazy Jones ... I have a game with this name for MSX, and is very good, you say it's a C64 games, so chances its the same game. Could you tell me more about it? I would like to see a C64 version of this game

While I would have liked a Blackthorne conversion above all in this kind of games, I think a conversion of Prince of Persia 2:The Shadow & The Flame would have been nice.

I just discovered there had been a conversion for the MegaDrive that was almost finished although never published:
http://www.hidden-palace.org/?releases/29

So I guess an Amiga version should have been possible. I never managed to get interested in Pop2 as I was in Pop1 (never finished Pop2) but I remember it being quite decent.

PS: As the download link in the page above does not seem to work anymore, here is another one.
I have not yet tried so I don't know if it is exactly the same thing, but I guess it is very likely:

On my wishlist the first two is F-15 Strike Eagle III and Need for speed I.
But I can continue with Car And Driver (PC dos game) and Gender Wars, Crusader - no remorse and No regret...

what would be incredibly cool, would be an amiga coder or coder(s), that would raise a kickstarter funding for creating new amiga games or conversions :P
