I'm sure Galahad will let us know once done, will be awesome to have a fully-working WHDLoad version of the game.

cool, I am so glad I actually posted this, now we will finally have this working.

And stunts, amazing game indeed. I played lots .of friendly games with friends, everyone liked the game, but the "random resets" made we give up the game after a while.

And please, don't be pissed at me because I pirated your game... where I live, it was pirate or nothing.. there was no way to buy original Amiga games here back at time - or at least no easy way for a 12 years old kid

use sierra_soccer___world_challenge_edition_(1994)(sierra)(m3)(disk_1_of_2)[cr_flt]-amiga, it is cracked correctly (the name is wrong, it is actually disk 2 of the game!).

Thanks StingRay, your'e on a roll. Hope it continues a long time, so many games and demos still needs some love and care (that is whdloadpatches)

Not to mention...

"Ram Chip 2mb slow 1mb Z2 Fast 8 mb" for an A500 game?

...but we've already discussed this in the Config for Sierra Soccer thread.

Still a very weird configuration that you've set; and defintely not required...

...and it's not the reason why you managed to get to the final match and no crash.

Crash is totally random at different inverals, you were just lucky, see these comments from the original game author in this thread:

I'm glad you enjoyed the game though and are playing it again. I hope you had success in finding a working version, sadly I do not have a working version to give away.

So what I did was to put a CRC check around the code to display the security flag screen when the game booted. If that code was tampered with (which a hacker would have circumnavigated) I littered my code (and graphic data) with calls to check on that CRC throughout the game. If it found the CRC was incorrect, I set a flag and if that was set, I randomly rebooted some time into the game. It was very simple (although creating a perfect CRC when the code could be loaded into anywhere in memory) wasn't easy, but once it worked, it was almost undetectable because it was silent.
Anyway, look in the other thread at my latest reply: Config for Sierra Soccer

Test that version
