The autofire upgrade is a poor joke, my stick shoots 3 times as fast. If i had known this i would have voted for playing with autofire sticks allowed, or for another game.

This game is such a crap. It is highly overrated and not worth playing. I can't understand what is so special about it.

I like it, because with a decent autofire stick almost every enemy wave can be cleared. The enemies come in always the same patterns which can be learned (If they come too soon, just fly a bit backwards). You dont crash if the scenery is touched. And there is a sensible upgrade route, you must change equipment between the (later) levels. Also the sound and graphics are quite good.

This game should have been put down at birth. Awful in almost every way.

The game takes on a totally more productive characteristic with auto-fire on. The built in auto-fire is a bit naff, and it spoils the experience. This round would be been a little easier otherwise, and I guess a few folks are slightly miffed at that. </understatement mode off]

125410 Hot damn, my hands are killing me, I strongly suggest you buy two autofire power-ups as quickly as can you can. If you die they're gone and it's back to the button mashing. |

I'm back... complaining at the start of another game....
Firstly the ADF version crashes when you pickup power-ups and/or collide with enemies (the latter doesn't crash it when you use the infiite health cheat! (press F1 when the hack intro is running)). Secondly, according to Lemon this is an OCS game. However I can only get this game to run under AGA. Both the ADF and WHDload versions crash before even seeing the intro when I try to run this on an OCS configuration. Is Lemon wrong? Regards, Lonewolf10 |

Xenon 2 was released three years before AGA existed so I'm not quite sure what's happening there. If you can try a different ADF from Planetemu that might be worth a go but the fact that you can only get them to work on AGA is really odd. The only think I can think of that you may have overlooked by accident is maybe make sure that you haven't got any extra disk drives enabled so there's enough memory free but that's just a pure guess.

I don't think it can be memory, as I had 8MB of chip RAM. I'll try with loads of chip and fast RAM. It's not just the ADF I have this problem with, I have the same problem with WHDload version too. Regards, Lonewolf10 |

59,480 Disregard the 1st score on my table, it was a score i attained using Autofire, just go for the secondary aforementioned score. Going by that config you are using way too much Chip Ram. Configure it to run with 512kb chip & 512kb fast. Last edited by Graham Humphrey; 08 October 2011 at 18:55. Reason: Back-to-back posts merged |

Yes, I think a more conventional (or quickstart) A500 config should do the trick.

Gave it a go, but died finally in level 4. Playing without stick autofire is not fun, i think ill give rather Yo Joe some more tries.
Score: 192920 PS: Thanks for the tip with the double autofire upgrade. |
