How do you get WHDload onto your Amiga?...
Do you download it onto a disk and then put that disk into your Amiga? And I am concerned about legality-aren't most disk images copyright protected?

I assume you have downloaded the WHDLoad-user archive (preferably LHA) already. Just open the archive e.g. on a PC (WinRAR) and repack without the docs-directory. Then it fits on a floppy disk.
Now just format a DD-floppy under Windows. If you use XP, enter in the command prompt: "FORMAT A: /T:80 /N:9" Copy the modified archive onto the floppy, mount PC0: in Amiga and insert floppy. Copy, unpack (check protection bits) and manually copy the contents to right places. |
