I'm d/l the torrent now, have been for a few days. I'm only at about 55% for demo 1 and oldskool right now but I'll keep em seeding for a while when they finish.

What machine did you run the demos on ? All the effects have dropped into 2 frames (25fps)

Ummm, what?

The demos for volumes 1 & 2 were run on an A1200 with 8 MB Fast Ram ands an 030 accelerator.

Oldskool was run on a stock A500 with half a meg Fast Ram.

A couple of effects in a couple of the demos do suffer with encoding to MPEG, but its only a couple of seconds.

Why don't you see if YOU can do better?

Now I had the time to take a closer look at the dvds, they look really good. Watching old demos on your own tv is cool. So it fit in betweens bippys demo dvd and the c64 demo dvds

Do you have some cool covers for the DVDs.

I’ve also looked at your first two DVDs and found I’ve not seen a fair few of them before. You’ve done a good job a compiling them and you can see the difference by recoding from a real Amiga.

The only thing that spoiled it slightly was the compression (until I tried it on a normal TV

)

I’m at 65% on your 3rd DVD, I wish it was not so slow at downloading

DVD 1 & 2 took a week to download.

Yes it's is slow, I don't know why - sorry. Probably nobody seeding it, I might put it back up as an ISO instead of a dumbass splitted RAR archive.
(worth waiting for though)

The layout of menus and DVD structure. Basically the bits I created.

But I have now released these so it don't apply.

Do I need to re-do the covers taking out the Copyright Symbol?

You really did a great job.

Thx for dstributing these DVD's.
Of course, the video quality suffers from mpeg-encoding - i've tried it myself by recording from WinUAE output.
The only way to increase video-quality is reducing the amount of demos...
So you can choose....

It's really not that easy.

Of course not.. what you have created is your own work but you need to specify this as the demos themselves are not your work and you cannot copyright them

Cover your own back etc

Fair enough, but a person must be pretty damn stupid to think all them demos are my own work, I mean, they all have their credits listings intact, plus how could 1 person be in all them demo groups, etc.. I know there are some right stupid tw@ts out there, but I don't think anyone is THAT stupid!

I was thinking about a demo coder or whatever getting the hump and suing you (This is very unlikely, but you never know for certain!)

I'm on a speedy link and I've only got to 90% on oldskool at about 10k/sec. I'm seeding this and vol 1 and upped about 10 gigs on each. It's ironic that the largest uploads in my utorrent client are for amiga stuffs, a platform that pretty much ceased manufacture 10 years ago.... The CD32 multi-game collection has seeded over 18 gigs so far...

Thanks for the DVD's too JT. I'm yet to burn them myself, however I need to do something soon so I can make some room to grab DVD #2.
