AMAX and Shapeshifter

Is it possible to transform an existing shapeshifter disk partition (a 30MB .hdf file) into an AMAX partition ?

If yes, how ?

I try to copy a partition file of the same size on the AMAX1, with tsgui, but AMax seems to ignore it.
30 MB AMAX1 partition, rapidfire.amhd with Rapidfire emulation on winuae.

Is it possible to export shapeshifter partition files to a volume out of shapeshifter and then inject them to the AMAX partition? Similar to what HFSExplorer can do for Mac images on PC.

You create a .dmg of the mac partition (30mb .hdf) on Shapeshiter and transfer it to the Amiga partitions.
Then you transfer this .dmg to the AMAX.
You read the DMG on the Mac

Shame original AMax never worked with hard files.

Will AMax work with BlueSCSI?

I have around 40+ classic 68K and PPC Mac machines, different models, at home and love the BlueSCSI.

Adding SCSI to the Amigas will ease my Macintosh emulation a lot. Fastest 68K Mac is ShapeShifter on the Apollo Vampire V4+ SA, but it garbles the hard drives a lot (not only the hardfiles, but the whole Amiga File System).

I wonder if it might be possible to use a ShapeShifter hardfile as an A-Max partition. That would be quite tricky (and risky) to set up, but...

You would have to use a disk optimiser program to make all data blocks of the hardfile contiguous. Can something like ReOrg achieve that?

Then figure out exactly which drive sectors the hardfile data occupies. Then create an AMAXx: mount file whose fake geometry corresponds exactly to the range of sectors occupied by the hardfile.

I've got a guide somewhere were its supposed to create a kind of hard file but its very tricky the file has to be on a certain point on the drive geometry or something and it still relies on the AMHD drivers etc
