ReAnimate: 2024 Summer School on Retro Gaming History, Critic, and Development

Dear all!

ReAnimate, a summer school (a kind of week-long workshop) on Retro Gaming History, Critic, and Development is being organised in Montreal by several universities, with a big emphasis on the Amiga (for the game jam, several presentations)... In particular, Jimmy Maher, author of The Future Was Here, will give a keynote! There'll also be a game jam, running the whole week, on Amigas with AMOS (and possibly other platforms and programming languages), thanks to the support of Cloanto!

Please consider applying to participate!

Cheers!

Back when doing A Levels here in the UK our Computer lab was PCs and we were using QBasic for most stuff but 3 of us were allowed to do our main projects at home in AMOS on our Amigas. I then bought my 1200 in when we needed to have it reviewed.

and then fired up Super Stardust etc afterwards to shock people with the graphics
