Can you point me to a good list of Demo-Rolling adf games?

If you mean showing gameplay in the rolling demo as opposed to Psygnosis intro disks etc, some British game-makers tended to include recorded in-game loops for shop windows.

Braben, MacLean, maybe Graftgold (on C64 but not sure on Amiga?)

My favorite is Virus by Braben, quite some intelligence there, doesn't seem to repeat twice and plays better than you most times!

Some horizontal scrolling beat/shoot em ups and cutesy platformers might also, by being part of the port.

I just told you the ones I can think of: if you mean a demo of gameplay, it's relatively rare. Partly because it requires that the game devs spend time/money to put it in (and a store front to play it back to, which limits the years of release), and partly because the final releases are preserved the most (over demos that are previews).

What TCD gave you is a search, probably a list of mostly not playable demos of games? You must tell us exactly what you want, for us to help you the best.

This gives another idea, namely Amiga magazine coverdisks. For example, this search.

Sadly I don't know any other lists. We might add a quickmatch for it to HOL, but right now I don't have the time for it.

in the list there is demo-rolling of UFO: Enemy Unknown (6 disks to install in HD). The final game are 4 disk. So demo is much bigger than final game?

Great CCRIDER. I really meant games that run in a loop in gameplay. Now I will put some games in the list.

But I would like to possibly have game promos as well.
That is Previews of games that were about to hit stores.

In the list that TCD linked to me there are promos of Agony, Another world, Shadow of the beast.........
It would be nice to have a list of promo games.

Unfortunately the rom is corrupted because while running the Software Failure error appears.

Can you point me to another shadow of the beast adf rom?

Games are not called roms on most computers. They're just games.

A game is not corrupted because you get a guru on a certain emulation or real computer configuration. Computers are not canned black boxes like arcade PCBs and consoles.

For the most part, demo disks (as appearing on the front page of magazines) have not been supported by WHDLoad to iron out the relatively small differences and make them run on most or all Amiga configurations.

To run game demo disks, I recommend a stock A500 512k chip + 512k slowmem and Kickstart (ROM) 1.3. If the game requires AGA, a stock A1200 config without fastmem and Kickstart 3.0. This should reduce the chance of Software Failure (Guru) messages.

I assume you mean 'Shadow of the Beast III (demo-rolling) (1992)(Psygnosis)[cr ATX].zip'? Like Photon said with the most-common A500 quickstart this runs fine in WinUAE 5.0.0.

I tried to load it both with A500+512kb Ram and with Winuae.
After a few minutes Guru Meditation comes out.

I think it's the corrupted game file.

Just let it run for a while and also got a guru. Maybe a bad crack (if it is cracked)?

In fact, if I let it run for a while, Guru Meditation comes out.
Do you know another file?

Interesting that a game demo would need a crack. I guess it's possible that magazine publishers or games companies would have instigated copy protection on some disks specifically made to 'spread the word'.

If you have a compatible rig (hm maybe in 1992 an A500+, but I doubt it requires ECS?) definitely try a different image.
