Quest for Glory 1
I'm looking for disk images for Quest for Glory I by Sierra.
I am specifically looking for the Quest for Glory rebranded version - not the original Hero's Quest release. |

Sorry to hear that. I created a new disk #5 with the files from the WDHLoad version. Please check if this one is working. |

I too have been looking for a "same" named set for both games i.e. either "Hero's Quest" or "Quest for Glory". In my collection I have:
In TOSEC there are only these though, so I had to mix and match:

from wiki:
"The series was originally titled Hero's Quest. However, Sierra failed to trademark the name. The Milton Bradley Company successfully trademarked an electronic version of their unrelated joint Games Workshop board game, HeroQuest, which forced Sierra to change the series' title to Quest for Glory.[8][9][10] This decision meant that all future games in the series (as well as newer releases of Hero's Quest I) used the new name. The original game was released in 1989 while a VGA remake was released in 1992. " |

The name change was necessary due to another (and older table) game having the same name.

The name change was reviewed in different magazines BitD. I had both version BitD but prefered to play the "Hero Quest" named version. For the few I played the renamed version, I didn't notice anything different (game's name excepted). Strange that the "new" name is not available in the various collections available for download? edit : you were faster @rygar Last edited by malko; 03 March 2021 at 00:23. |
