470,000 (score 1350)
I think that is the best score possible. I've given some thought to whether it is possible to have the magic weapon and three health potions at the end and it doesn't seem like it can be done. I thought I could make it happen if you kill the two giants (near the swamp) and then head back and enter the whirlpool. Then you could drop the basic weapon when you pick up the horn, return to karamoon with the magic weapon, horn and two potions, use the horn and pick up the third potion in the castle. It doesn't work because those two giants are amongst the only major enemies in the game that respawn (they reappear after returning to Karamoon, even if you killed them already), and you need the basic weapon to kill them, so you don't have an opportunity to drop it, and therefore must carry it into the castle, leaving room for only two potions. |

The fact alone that you still have 3 potions available at the end is really impressive.

After 1,5 hours of trying eventually I got some kind of lousy score And stupidly I used potion before getting ale, so my score (probably) is:

After trying several times to reach the ale, I decided to go to the axe instead and reached it with a few tries - this game is very hard. I enjoyed playing it with the cheat however (I also like playing games for the visual and auditive experience only.)
12000 (coins) + 15000 (axe) + 10000 (potion) = 37000 Last edited by Harry; 07 July 2019 at 00:45. |

Nope, no time to play games ATM... but as you know, part of my role on EAB requires me to read all threads, so came across his post / screenshot... Last edited by DamienD; 07 July 2019 at 19:48. |

Coins were 0 at this point because I paid the snail to return to Karamoon. But the score might be necessary as tie-breaker if someone shows the same items and health. Well, in that case he'll beat me if he shows any score.

I will share a tip regarding "SotB II"
Not to far from the beginning of the game there is a guy pushing a big rock full of spikes. Of course this guy has to be killed and the little weapon we have, pull just far enough to be tickled by the spikes. So even if we are in a compo, for the ones that were not as crazy of SotB as I was BitD, and that did not try the "how much shots do I need to kill him ?", here is the solution : only 6 shots ! See attachment. Enjoy Last edited by malko; 24 July 2019 at 13:01. Reason: changed BiT -> BitD |

Thanks malko, I wanted to create a gif but that's perfect.
When you've hit him five times and are still far from the edge further hits won't do anything. So just run to the egde and wait for him to do the final sixth strike. edit: Added your pics on Lemon (maybe now we'll finally get a Lemon score) and here to the first post. This is the most important Amiga gaming feat I ever wanted to accomplish:
[ Show youtube player ] 450,000 Again forgot to press S so if anyone also beats the game and shows any in-game score he'll beat this. |

By the way, I came across something annoying.
While playing on my netbook, the 'dog' is always with me so it's quite impossible to pull the switch without dying. Thus I found another solution. See attachment. Just hope I won't get stuck in another part of the game because I didn't use the key here. Let's see By the way, I have seen that using the key does not change the score so... |

Excellent playthrough John, well done. I remember it wasn't that long ago I thought I'd never be able to complete these two games, but the comp has proved how beatable they actually are.
There are parts of this you are very good at, I almost always lose health at the blockpusher but you made it look easy, and the dog pit is very difficult to do without losing health (although after two decades I finally worked out my own method for doing it this week). I'll post my own video later in the week, and maybe this round will end up being a battle for first place after all Incidently I discovered a glitch-bug today that allows you to collect endless money and complete the game without doing the entire dog pit/Ishran section of the game. I obviously won't use it but it is surprising what can happen when you push a game to it's limits. |

470'000 (250'000 + 200'000 + 10'000 + 10'000)
Looks like capehorn has a slightly better health than I have... grrrr Regarding the score, I prefer a high one than the opposite By the way, the dog pit can be completed with the second method (you are not stuck if you don't use the key). |

For me the last challenge in SotB II are the two giants throwing their axes. After them finishing the game without being touched a single time is not difficult.
