Using your new AkikoTFFix, here are some doom timedemo demo3 results (I think I’m using the ultimate doom wad). There are 3863 realtics.
BlazeWCP installed. MMUlibs 68030.library and 680x0.library with patched WB3.1 setpatch. Music (DAMusic_Midi.plugin) and sound effects are enabled. I have reduced screen size so it has status bar and 2 levels of green border 020 Blitter - 11.83 020 Optimised - 10.77 Akiko2 - 11.86 Akiko fixed - 10.05 Sysinfo mips are 9.15 with mmulibs 030.library, down from 9.86 Last edited by trixster; 26 April 2019 at 13:15. |

Yeah, it puts a 386 in its place. It’s faster than my GoldenGates TI486SXLC/2 at 50mhz too. The goldengate manages 11.64fps with sound off, 10.5 with sound on.
TF330 runs DoomAttack faster than an A4000 with A3640 040 at 25mhz. Once the game loads the TF330 fps counter ticks over at approx 10fps using akiko2/020 blitter. With the 4000/040 25mhz i'm sure it used to tick over at 6/8fps. Last edited by trixster; 26 April 2019 at 12:59. |

So CPU + blitter is basically the same speed as Akiko chip. I think I said the same thing last month Quote:

yeah but it feels better to know it's working. AND you get 0.03fps as an added bonus.

CPU+Blitter C2P in DoomAttack is of lower quality graphics.

I know what you're referring to. Some Blitter C2P routines use a 'dithered' output.
But that is definitely not what DoomAttack's Blitter-assisted C2P is doing. Would you please test for yourself and not make blanket assertions? |

Installed MMULibs with its installer. I'm also running AkikoTFFix from user-startup.
Tested DoomAttack, Gloom Deluxe, Wing Commander CD32 - all working with akiko c2p, no flickering, no crash, good fps. Thanks everyone! |

The mmulibs installer is good. I thought I’d have to spatch the 3.1 setpatch as the instructions implied in order to get the 030.library and 0x0.library working, but it appears that the installer installs a patched setpatch already, so messing with spatch and .pch files is not necessary.

Doom is actually quite a bit slower. I remember to have seen 10-11fps on the first level of Ultimate Doom, now it's down to 5-6 . Sysinfo shows the exact same result as with the 68EC030. The full 030 is running noticeably cooler and I haven't had any crashes so far. The 68EC030 did crash quite possibly due to thermal issues. Now, how do I turn off the mmu? As for Fusion, I have no info. (I had shapeshifter running on my A1200 with an aca1233n @ 40mhz with mmu, it ran quite well.) Last edited by wairnair; 17 May 2019 at 20:50. |

Thank you so much for doing this, I was really interested to see if this was possible on the CD32. However, I'm looking in the Mega folder and reviewed the contents doc and the archive that is supposed to have that game is not listed anywhere that I can see. Did some jerk on ebay try to sell copies, so the game got removed from there?
Thanks WyndC |
