Wicher 500i

I’ve just bought this and been looking at the instructions and I have to connect a jumper wire to a pin on the Gary chip but I have the boobip Gary adapter installed for the 2mb chip ram mod and don’t know if I can run both of them at the same time with my trapdoor ram or if I will need to reverse the mod for my wicher to be compatible?

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

Paul

Several other users have reported the same setup works just fine. They are compatible upgrades.

So the Witcher has a 44 pin male connector for the ide device... my cf card reader/adaptor has a 40 pin connector could I just buy a cable that goes from 44female ide to 40 female with the power connector on the side or if I buy a 44 pin cf adaptor does it need a power cable attached or does it draw directly from the wicher? What’s the best option?

Personally I would go for an adapter. A much cleaner setup.

That would depend whether or not your CF card adapter has a male molex connector on it for external power.

Also I just install my wicher in the processor socket and basically it just doesn’t fit lol it’s making contact with one of the caps to the left of Paula this might be bendable to lie it flat...???? But I’m pretty sure the contacts on the processor from the board are resting on my rom chip.... or might be just off it it’s so hard to tell and I don’t want to short circuit the board before I’ve even got it going.....
