Problem with 50Hz
Hello,
Finally I was able to have 50 Hz on my monitor and using an procedure I read on blurbuster I'm able to have even 50Hz ULMB thanks to CRU. I was able to run winUAE at 50Hz with ULMB, adding the fact I was using the new lagless V-Sync , I can say I was playing on real amiga and CRT instead of emulator and LCD! a very smooth scrolling without blur, a dream came true. the problem then! the problem is that WinUAE doesn't recognise always my 50Hz capability and the most of the times (I still don't have a pattern of this, sadly) the 50Hz PAL is not displayed among the refresh rates available in WinUAE. So some times I run WinUAE and find this refresh rate, and often I don't see it. I understand that probably this isn't a problem of WinUAE itself, in fact the 50Hz resolution comes from CRU as I'm using that is not naively supported from my Display port video card. Maybe, it is possible to do something more from WinUAE side to be able to hook such hacked resolutions. Hopefuly thanks |

Check if 50Hz also appears in winuaebootlog.txt resolution list.

After many test I eventually found a way to have the 50Hz PAL in WinUAE refresh rate.
After PC is rebooted I used "Restart64.exe" of CRU. at this point WinuUAE doesn't see 50Hz yet but once lunching the emulation and coming back in the options, finally 50Hz PAL is listed among the refresh rates. This is a pattern so it worked all the times. |

At least you have 50Hz. Looks like my monitor is fixed to 60Hz. With CRU I don't see 50Hz anywhere. And with PowerStrip I get No Signal. Yes, one cheap monitor.

CRU created mode should be visible (but may not work, either out of range message or blank screen when selected) even if monitor does not support it.
Did you create the mode correctly? Copy and paste existing 60Hz mode in CRU and then modify copy to use vertical refresh = 50Hz. |

I found why CRU don't work for me. That machine have Windows XP and in requirements it says "Windows Vista or later (Windows XP does not support EDID overrides)".

Do you really expect a modern emulator to work on an OS 16 years old?

I think you should first read the thread because this has nothing to do with emulator. (and winuae still works with XP. Lagless vsync is not supported in XP, none of new features are supported in XP)
