So now we would just need for someone to create an open source kickstart adapter PCB... I'd love to be able to plug this into my A1000.

I did. You can get the gerbers on the link I provided above

I know this isn’t much, but thanks for doing what you do. If not for your generosity and guidance over the last year I wouldn’t have been inspired to learn new things and tackle the issue myself.

I’ve updated the TF530 wiki with Amiga 1000 information.

Hello,
is there any way to buy a ready soldered TF530 Board? In a video review from the Youtube-Channel "Modern Vintage Gamer" i have heard that some guys in the Amiga Community sell complete Boards with relocator pcb and IDE2CF Adapter. This would be great. I dont want to try it myself because of my bad solder skills.

Incidentally the board in that video was assembled by me. I am not selling them at the moment but I have plans to resume some time in the future. Maybe when the 534 is ready. Also I need to find a cheaper source of 68030s. The ones on ebay are currently too expensive to make the board affordable.

Looking forward, as I'd prefer a North America-located provider!

Agreed. I managed to get 030s for $10 but that seems to have changed

It is in the bin directory.
Found it and got card working. There was some cold solder etc somewhere.

But stable at 33MHz.

Yeah, I initially bought 40 68030s for $10 each, I thought that was a reasonable price. But as soon as the ebay sellers sniff interest, they raise their prices... not that I blame them, but I still want to find a cheaper option.

I thought the cpu needed to "see" its full bus size when executing the ks rom code from the spi flash..

The CPLD reads the SPI flash and presents the data to the CPU on its data bus. It’s a little slower than fast ram but who cares.

Well, I suppose that's what I meant when saying that the SPI data register would be 32bits in case of ks rom

I now realize that it isn't a register, of course, because the data needs to be presented on the bus like addressing a "regular" memory device.

The SPI data register is completely independent of the SPI rom. The SPI data register is for talking to external SPI devices. The SPI rom is completely hidden from the rest of the SPI chain as far as the Amiga is concerned. From an external programmer the SPI Rom can be written. Not from the Amiga.

I built EzdineG's Kickstart adapter and got the TF530 working and fitting quite nicely inside the A1000

The Kickstart adapter is a prerequisite for this to work but it's quite simple to build. Well done!

Are you using this anti-static bag as an insulator? You are aware, that it is conductive?
