Grow 8Gb PFS partition to 32Gb?
Hi. The topic says it... I habe a 32 Gb sd card with 2 partitions. 500 MB PFS partiton for system and ~8 Gb PFS partition for everything else. The reason for the "under sized" partitioning is that it was cloned with Winimager from an 8 Gb card to the new 32 Gb card.

As far as I know you can't grow the second 8GB partition without loosing data. You can backup the data on the second partition and then remove/change it with your partition tool. Then copy back your data. Second possibility is to add a third partition after the 8GB. That shouldn't effect data on other partitions. However, I would recommend to do a backup first.

Resizing partitions is not possible afaik.
If the card was cloned, the drive geometry (In the RDB) is also copied from the 8GB card and hdtoolbox thinks the 32G card is 8GB so adding partitions is not possible. But luckily Thomas' little tool fixhddsize (on aminet) will let you update the drive geometry without loosing any data, so you can add another partition after all. |

+1 for fixhddsize and just creating a new partition on the end.

With "Seventy point Four" 12.5Kb's in a single sided 880Kb Floppy, ....that would be a tiny floppy eh!
Despite the mere mention of Tool Size, I can only reel back at such Innuendo-iZm! Last edited by Kin Hell; 09 January 2018 at 01:24. |

Considering the time elapsed for such a mere tool....
....maybe this "Tool" is bigger than we all thought!? |
