I would say that The Greatest Game Systems of All Time were arcade machines.

Amiga is lucky to be in such a chart at all.
Lots of nostalgia playing the part here. Also no mention of the Wii, which I think is top ten material, more than the SNES. Big BLAH. |

No problem
Anyway, both C= computer get good scores. Agree but, with the passing of time, was a quite expensive one (I would be rich if I had not inserted all my coins... ). |

Quite how the N64 got rated so high i dont know, i owned one, and bar a couple dozen great games it pales against even the Saturn, plus my eyes are still sore from its awful foggy low res gfx! Im looking at you Int Superstar Soccer!

I had not even noticed the N64 in there. N64 was garbage.
This list is totally useless |

Yeah, no mention of Jay Miner's previous EXCELLENT hardware, the Atari 400/800/XL/XE - all we get is mention of the SHITTY 2600 which was inferior on so many levels, yet is so fondly remembered, and I cannot figure out why.

Well any top list is going to be pretty subjective. You can use objective criteria like hardware specifications relative to other systems of the time, but good hardware alone does not make a great gaming system (as shown by the 3DO).

Also no place in there for such things, the 2600 was indeed revolutionary in it being probably the first product that made it massively to consumer's homes and brought games to the living room. Yes there were consoles before, but none with the wide impact the 2600 had. This is why it is fondly remembered. Again, as you have in the past with the C64, criticizing you "don't get" because you never tried it, comes off rather close-minded. The list is about gaming, not about which system is best in technology. The list is shit anyway so whatever |
