You can turn on V-sync in the Config tool if you like....but it doesn't do anything
I doubt we'll see any additional updates to the Config tool or the firmware (unfortunately) |

And as Novacoder writes, the v-sync option is there but it cannot be used since it is not implemented. |

OK, thanks guys. So I don't know yet. If I look around here I see most of you connect the aga mk2cr to a monitor not larger than 19" and with traditional aspect ratio 4:3.
I have a 24" LG led/lcd only running optimal at full HD (1080p 16:9) resolution. Apart from the scrolling issue, would the Indy be able to generate an image that is big enough (up scaling to max height of screen) and keeping it's original aspect ratio (don't mind if there are some vertical banners), also for the classic games? Other options I have is use an old Philips CM8833, but that has an annoying popping in the speaker (even without anything connected apart from power). No idea how to repair it, I may simply open it up and cut the speaker wire and feed audio elsewhere? An old, good, but very bulky 17" CRT VGA monitor, which might run at 50hz. But it will take up so much space and still require the Indy. |

To be honest i gave up on tweaking my AGA mk2 ages ago when i ended up settling for a fullscreen 60hz mode and just put up with jerky scrolling etc.
I guess i should give it a try again and see if i can get a 50hz refresh working. It's just sad because the hardware appears capable, but the cfg software simply lets it down and is clumsy to use, especially for noobies. I think everyone else would agree with me that if we were able to get a fullscreen 50hz mode running with Vsync engaged, then we would all be much happier with the mk2 then what we currently are. |

Can you catch the jerky scrolling on video, i.e. post it to YouTube or isn't that possible due to the recorded video's refresh rate itself? I'm curious how bad / acceptable the jerkyness is.

I'll have a go at getting a video of it. I'm using a viewsonic vp2030b. 50hz is perfectly smooth (both horizontal and vertical) for approx 3.5 seconds then there's a tiny smear (which looks like a small vsync tear). It is unnoticeable to me unless I stop and deliberately look for it.

Hi!
I am new to the forum and amiga 1200 user. I bought the MK2CR, but you share the preset for your 15 "square monitor ... retrofan setting is 17" square on the monitor, but it slides up at 15 ". Will you be a helper? |
