@plasmab I was using transcend 512MB and Sandisk 4 GB cards
R1 needs to be < 5K for use with the latest firmware. I recommend 1K but 4K7 might be ok too.

Nice timing I was about to ask what the deal with that was currently, so not 47K as per the BOM (Yeah I know its out of date), but sub 5K yeah ?

None of the real hard drives get recognized. The cable length seems to matter also.

Let's see if I have a smaller resistor to try on the 36 mhz.

The lowest I found in my parts drawer was 2.2K, so I fitted that. The card still won't boot without an IDE device connected to it, so I guess 1k works out better.

Still getting the same data corruption as before though. Using a 5 cm cable now.

Can you just confirm exactly what board you are using, is it a rev 3 ? (I think you said Rev 2), especially the version that Steve updated ? (He updated the ground planes, added extra caps between the VCC and GND etc).

I am about to do a run of Rev 3 boards I think, then when TF534 is ready.., I can do a run on those too.

Whiteb, yes I built a few rev 2s - it's a terrific accelerator, we just need to iron out a couple of bugs

Does not help me because I have an EC, (No MMU or FPU).
SKick works on non-MMU processors. Only supports common ROMs and memory won't be write-protected.

Yeah Skick only supports those Kickstarts that have .RTB files (available from the Skick archive).

This is why i've switched over to testing on the ST at the moment.. It shows up issues more. Also a 20 Mips Atari ST makes a Falcon look stationary

Could anybody test what happens with CF card connected to the TF530 IDE with a cable? Also, if possible, what happens when you have master and slave devices connected?

Well, this was unexpected. I found a configuration that does not cause IDE data corruption.

This is it:

What this is, is a SATA drive connected through SATA->IDE adapter. I have no idea why this works (using the same cable too) but the CF Cards do not work on my system.

I can copy files back and forth, boot, read them just fine, no corruption at all. Huh.

What speed does this achieve, you may ask?

This is with CPU FASTROM option active. Much slower without it.
So I guess there is a bug somewhere in the IDE code.

Thanks

Just caught your latest stream; great work on the ST. Any word on the MHz specific Jed files? I've just signed up for twitter and asked the same thing, but I'm not sure if I sent you the question or asked it to myself. It's not familiar territory.
