Oh man, I thought you weren't putting version numbers in thread titles so that in future you can add new releases???

Typically I would call vim while working in console. Popping up a graphical user interface would be just annoying..

Can you call external commands with this? For example:
:{range}!sort -u

http://vim.wikia.com/wiki/Sort_lines
http://vim.wikia.com/wiki/Append_out...ternal_command

Also - does Aros have Bash or similar shell to pipe commands?

I use vim as my main editor for work, and generally speaking I'm in a console for almost all of that time. By design, all the features it provides can be invoked by key-presses so a GUI is more of a hindrance than a help to me!

That said, it was definitely more of a tongue in cheek observation that any form of criticism. Kudos to those who got it working under AROS! Just wish these newer versions were still available for Classic.
