Looking for the first game I ever played

It was late 80s. I still didn't go to school so I cant remember very well. I played it at my neighbors flat. I don't know what he had. The most similar game I could find is Atari 2600's Scuba Diver but I remember it a little darker and I remember that in bottom left corner was wrecked ship and you had to get inside cause I'm not sure I kinda remember that there was maybe some chest and key in it and maybe it's lid was opening with some bobbles but that could be just my imagination...

@LordAGA
It could easily be Scuba Dive but I cant tell for sure after more than 25 years, probably my mind plays tricks on me. But I don't remember that game "scrolled".

@Superman
James Pond? He wasn't even born yet

@mrbob2
It's not Devils crown but I would guess that it was on Speccy..

@s2325
..nothing fancy like C64(Spelldiver)

I just went through few other ZX games Devil Diver and Dickie Diver and all of them look similar but that's not it...

It's not C64 game and most certainly not Amiga game. It was something earlier. My main suspect is ZX.

Just in case your memory is worse than you thought:

Treasure Island Dizzy has bubbles, a snorkel, a treasure chest, a sunken ship, a dark background (on the Speccy version) and was flip-screen. It's nothing like Scuba Diver though...

As an aside, I always thought the working title - Desert Island Dizzy - was better even if, strictly speaking, it wasn't a desert island.

@mrbob2

I had Devil's Crown - I remember thinking what a weird looking game it was but I liked it for that.

Well my memory is definitely worse than I thought. Maybe even if I would've seen it today I wouldn't recognize it cause after all these years picture in my mind has been distorted and probably I updated it with details that were not there. Maybe the chest was simple 4 yellow pixels square and bubbles are pure imagination. It's nice though that those games involved kids imagination that is really vivid in that age. So considering all this probably my try is in vain but just to sum up:
As I recall it it would be something between Atari 2600 Scuba Diver and ZX Scuba Dive. I think it was single screen game. You had to dive down, dodge fish(monsters?), I dont remember if you could kill them and at the bottom left was "wracked ship"(if it wasn't some other larger object) and there was a reason(something to collect?) to get in but we never managed to do that cause we would always get killed trying that cause as I think there was some vicious sliding door or something like that that if you touch you day.

Could it possibly be that you are tied to a boat with the air-hose ? And the boat moves left and right with you. Some of the baddies are able to snap your air-hose. It's also a ZX game, but I don't remember the name.

@Cobe

I know what you mean, BUT:
every single time I doubted my memory and said to myself "I must remember something wrong".... when the time came and finally found what I was after, it turned out that my memory was actually spot on. Every single time.
I believe that's your case too. You're disappointed that you can't find it, but I'm 100% sure your memory is correct and it's just a matter of time before you stumble upon it.

Scuba Kids on ZX Spectrum maybe?
[ Show youtube player ]

(Speaking of fading memories, as far as I can remember the first game I played was Mr Robot on a C64 in 1983 or 84.)

Doesn't ring a bell but not impossible would like to see it when you remember the name.

@vulture
Thanks, for the encouragement. Only this is not the first time I'm looking for it. I searched for it few times in past decade but still nothing... hope it will surface eventually.

@eXeler0
No

@Frankie
No. No
But you reminded me, I played Neptune's Daughter several years after on my C64. Nice game.
