I think AmiNet is on strike I'll upload a version to the Zone, just trying to optimize the sound engine a little. OK it's now in the Zone here on EAB. This port uses AHI, it's really important that people use v4.18 of AHI with one of the 'FAST' modes set to be used in the AHI Prefs otherwise it will run slow on a real Amiga (this is true for any of my ports that use AHI). BTW Boing Bags 3/4 will upgrade your Amiga to v6.x of AHI so check what version you are actually running. I'm also recommending that people use a 3.1 ROM (real or virtual) as I'm compiling against the 3.9 SDK which means that certain functions may run slowly on 3.0 (again this is true for all of my ports). the best way to play duke nukem on the Amiga is playing the MAC version on Fusion of Shapeshifter
all the amiga ports are lame/slow or incomplete |

Is there a way to further increase the mouse look y-axis sensitivity? I have the sensitivity option at max in the options but looking up and down is still quite slow and sluggish.

It's running really well! 80mhz 060, so 105Mips or so. I think it's the way the mouselook works. Its almost as if the y-axis only moves at half the distance of the x-axis for a given sensitivity. Increasing the sensitivity to 126 in the config helps a bit but the y is still a little slow.
It's a great conversion, nice work sir. So when are we going to see you convert Half-Life? Last edited by TCD; 04 October 2015 at 11:20. Reason: Back-to-back posts merged. |

I'd forgotten just how good Duke Nukem 3D was.
Engine-wise, is it considered to be somewhere between the Doom and the Quake engines? |

OK try v1.4.0 in the Zone and see if that's faster for mouse Y
