I can confirm that BZR has problems with MOK.* (silmarils) files. Checked against latest UADE trunk and it plays them alright. Windsurfwilly playing here currently.
I disagree somewhat on the TFMX replayer... It's good as it is. It behaves like it does on an Amiga, which UADE is emulating. Anything else is left to the frontends to support OS preferences and usability features. E.g. we had on-the-fly Amiga cruncher/packer support in v1.x but eventually removed it for 2.x and concentrated on sound related changes and made it an extra utility. |

I can also confirm that most Silmarils songs are silent even though they play in UADE. So I will take a look at that.
I know also that sometimes an incorrectly loaded/played file can somhow corrupt the memory so that the next one won't play. About World Games custom, the file content matches the MPEG header, hard to anything about at the moment, since I don't rely on filenames. If you rename or move fmod/codec_mpeg.dll you'll see that it works fine. |

If you only rely on the first frame the MPEG will have a lot of false positives.
Perhaps partially decoding the first frame to locate the second one, then check the second header, would solve most cases. The mpega player for DT does something like that. |

The MPEG parsing is done my FMOD internally so I don't have an idea of how they do. I guess it's pretty good otherwise there would be tons of false positives and it's pretty rare.

no detection of Sierra AGI ziks > sometimes "Assertion failed" error message again, or different Windows error message "BZR Player does not work anymore." edit: I suppose some formats (UADE Players) are not supported until now, right? Last edited by mai; 01 September 2015 at 20:18. |

Did some debugging of Silmarils/Herve Leport/windsurfwilly.mok which is silent:
in UADE newcpu.c I get: llegal instruction: 004e at 00000813 It doesn't tell me anything... don't know any assembler or 68000. Command line works though, so I must screwed up somewhere. Anyone who can shed some light maybe? |

Why, is it the way, how UADE is integated in BZR?
Again i have to set Deliplayer for PC as reference: You can add any new and future player to Amigaplayer folder and it works! |

It's because the UADE source I'm using is based on a web port - http://www.wothke.ch/webuade/
I've then modified it to work on Windows. So there may be some introduced bugs by me. However I think adding new players to \plugin\uade\players also should work in BZR. Didn't try it myself though. Have you? And do you have an example? |

Sure. I meant if you have any newer player for UADE, did you try it with BZR Player?

--------- Another problem detected, i have no idea, if this is BZR, AmigaPlayer or music related. Sharkey's_Moll.tw 868F84B1 If BZR loads the music the first time everything goes well, but if i load just the same music again, BZR crashs! load file or doubleclick, both the same problem. You may try the player from DT2. It's not using the noteplayer interface so maybe it can work here ?

Just a question, is the supported formats page always up to date?
Paul Robotham Format The sample file works: space 1889.dat space 1889.ssd But there are many ziks, where the song shares one and the same samplefile! for example: Game Starlord mars1.dat >song mars2.dat >song mdtest.ssd >samplefile The suffix usage and samplefile name (mdtest.ssd) is even specified in the UADE player, but does not work! (again "Assertion failed" error message) |

Works fine if you rename it so songname.ssd and songname.dat

If more than one song shares the same samplefile, then usually the samplefile is named mdtest.ssd, isnt it even specified this way in the Paul Robotham UADE Player.
At least in Deliplayer for PC(again as reference) it works this way! |
