Captive 2: Liberation bugs
Saving in this game seems to be hit and miss; it'll either work (25% of the time) or crash. Using standard or custom disks seems to have little effect.
Quite randomly a message appears "Police have been notified to keep the doors locked" during the game. I don't know if it's a bug or not, but it seems impossible to continue once it appears for all buildings are inaccessible. Furthermore, it occurs on real Amigas just as it occurs under WinUAE (1.2). Finally, certain hardware causes the game to crash when they're plugged into the droid's head. Unfortunately, it's one of the more important devices (the 'Scanner' I think). Any ideas on solutions are welcome. Cheers. |

If it is a bug, have you tried using WinUAE savestates?

With regard to the police shutting all the buildings down, it seems to be an anti-piracy feature. Those users who fail to type in the password (an extract from the manual) a certain number of times will be prevented from playing any further. It's unfortunate in that I no longer have the manual. |
