Anyone on the Big Book of Amiga Hardware Forum?

Referring to this:

Is bobbins.

It was released not for the mythical A2200, but for the A4000 Developer machine, also known as the A3400.

Its a dual processor card with FPU which is switchable between 020 and 030 via jumpers, and was used by the software industry to develop A1200 software on an A4000 machine.

I should know because

a). i've just sold an A4000 developer machine
b). I've got another one just like it somewhere with the same exact setup
and dual processor card.

I saw the for-sale thread sadly too late. Interesting machine though. Interesting that it was an '020 not the '020ec from the A1200. Wouldn't that cause some problems?

Not really, the EC020 just doesn't have the upper 8 adress bits.

And conversely you wouldn't be able to run a A4000 with a EC020 chip as the machines memory map requires full 32bit adresses.

NO F***ING WAY !!! Just when I thought I had seen everything to do with Amiga, I have never seen this before !! That is pretty sweet I must say !!

Incidentally, they were going to manufacture 020 power 4K's before the idea fell to the way side.
