No SFX in IK+
No matter how many different configurations under winuae i cant get IK+ to run with sound effects, I only get the music. I know I shouldn't really complain because the music is good but I really want the sound effects that make me think I'm in a Bruce Lee movie. Can anyone help please?
BTW they sound like they we're picked straight out of Enter the Dragon. |

Hmm, I do remember something like this - on the REAL thing.
Have you tried IK+ with an A500 configuration and neither fast nor slow RAM? That is, chip=512K and nothing else. |

Version I'm using is IK+ (1998) (System 3).adf
I think I've tried that configuration straight from the winuae quickstart. OCS or ECS doesn't really matter does it? |

After thorough testing...
I'd say it is a WinUAE bug! For it works perfectly with WinUAE 0.8.26 and 1.1.1 beta 2, but already fails at 1.3.3. (Used common TOSEC Invisible Crime-imported OCL crack.) Last edited by andreas; 24 October 2008 at 15:22. |

Try using your function keys, they have some effects in the game like music off etc. It tells you somewhere, maybe watch the start and a screen may appear telling you what all the keys do

Enable cycle-exact. I don't see any bugs.

I've got speedball 2 to work now, clicked cycle-exact.
Does this function need to be on for all games? |

TONI IS RIGHT!
Sorry. Cycle exact is the culprit. You can determine working from non-working by simply turning this option on/off. @tim Use A500 Quickstart, set slider to Best Compatibility (important!). Also works in 1.5.1. |

Cycle-exact I'm not sure about, but the default setting for this I believe is set to on. Maybe you have accidentally switched it off in your quest to find a setting that makes some of your games play I wonder if there a master reset for WinUAE so everything goes back to default settings, anyone want to answer this, 'cause if not I may put it in the wish list for WinUAE |

Do speedball 2 and IK+ fall into the 'older 80's games that need cycle-exact enabled to work' category?

Here IK+ works without cycle exact and you can hear the SFX It's the 'International Karate + (1988)(System 3)' version from Planetemu. There must be something strange going on with my PC
