Amiga OS4 Developer
OK, now that it's gotten this far, anyone know if this developer preview will be available to anyone willing to buy it? Will it be bundled with any current Amiga One boards?

Well apparently you can't buy OS4 for AmigaOne, you can only get it bundled, but I am not sure how the dev version is going to work.

From reading all the posts on other boards, it appears that it will be sent out to all the earlybird A1 owners, which I don't understand, I thought it was only a free or reduced price copy of the final consumer version that they would be receiving.
Because I want to try OS4 mainly for programming, I will buy an A1, but I'd rather not. I think the A1 will be a dead end because there's no real money backing it up. Upgrades & subsequent revisions takes cash and there probably aren't as many interested buyers necessary to keep it going. Seems that the target demographic for OS4 is already split among the die-hard classic OS users and MorphOS users. |
