Run GenesisPrefs, select Interfaces, double-click your cnet interface, go to the right-most tab (Resolv) and add the IP address of your DNS to the list. Usually you can use the IP of your router as DNS IP.

I already added when configuring with the wizard the ip of my router in the router tab. If I remember well clicking on GenesisPrefs does not start the application, only the Wizard works.

Install BoingBag1 and run GenesisPrefsRA.
Or install MUI and copy required MUI classes from the Genesis demo from Aminet into the MUI/Libs directory. Then GenesisPrefs will work. But you should install BoingBag1 anyway. There are other problems with OS 3.9 without Boingbags. |

I've installed ClassicWB. I have A Blizzard IV 1230 with 68882 FPU. Starting from the end I cannot install Boingbags2 because I have Guru mediation issues at startup. So I installed BB1 & BB2 then made an ClassicWB installation. After that over the existing installation I put BB1 and put on the startup sequence NOROMUPDATE. I have an EEPROM programmer, so I could make a custom bios image and include the BB2 ROM updates if it could help.

How have you setup your network?
Are you using Static or Dynamic IP address cause Genesis by default doesn't support DHCP requests so you should issue static IP for the Amiga plus the DNS servers to be able to have name resolution = web support for URLs. If you do all the above and you're correct, you can use the ping command located in Genesis/bin to check if everything work out ok. For example ping www.google.com should give you a reply. No reply = something wrong with either the adapter not configured correctly or Genesis not configured correctly. |

Well, the later BB3 & 4 are not part of the OS39 distribution, so if you wish to be updated, check them out.
