Where have you gotten your stability "statistics"? I'd like to know more before I buy.

For myself, I get random crashes probably due to chip memory read/write errors. It might freeze the machine just standing in WB, cause guru, or if in WHDLoad, quit with 'illegal instruction' or other error. |

I couldn't get it to work (ACA620), comes out I cut hole for VGA output wrong and motherboard was bend, it's working for now. I didn't tested properly, just showing 5 mb fast ram under 3.1. I got another problem now, when I plug CD-rom drive and CF card together it won't even boot to Workbench.
It's Mitsumi CD with 44 pin adapter. |

hi slim cdroms are normally hardware set to master you may be lucky and fine a jumper or search for your drive to see if it can be modified
as the cf and cd cannot both be master |

Hey thanks for the tip. Jumpers on 44 pin adapter says hi, lo, csel.
It might also be that my cf adapter is for 2 cards. I need to do more tests. It's all fun . |

hi you can use both if master and slave are for each device with just a cable
but if you wanted you could have 3/4 devices with idefix device |

Thanks for that. I will wait for new single cf card adapter and try low and csel on cd rom. If no luck ill try to get idefix shame it's out of stock at the moment. Makes me wonder if Amiga can boot from slave disk?

After receiving single cf adapter Amiga did boot to WB but IdeFix software couldn't find that Mitsumi CD Rom. It spins and ejects but Amiga can't see it. Luckily I had spare TEAC DVD Rom and that is working perfectly. Only problem is black bazel. Tonight 3.9 installation time.

3.9 installation failed ;(. It created emergency disk ok but installation is crashing after I choose to install on Workbench partition. Now I'm not sure if that's because Aca 620 got only 5mb fast ram and 3.9 needs 6mb or I shouldn't try to install on 3.1 but on empty HD?
I never installed anything above 3.1 before. So all this is new to me. |

Thanks again, it worked this time.
Things to do: 1. Drill hole for lcd and mount HxC inside. 2. Mount Sd card socket where floppy used to be. 3. Paint bazel beige. 4. Install Acatune and Ibrowse and other software. 5. Enjoy power of Amiga. |
