Another WHDLoad Game Issue Mean Streets

Hello All,

I just received from a friend the Mean Streets game. I used the WHDLoad installer for the disks. By the way the disks are becoming bad (lots of noise while spinning). Anyway, I did get the game installed, but when I try to start the game all I get is a blank screen with the music. No Logos or nothing. It does not error or crash just no screen.

This happens with my A1200(stock. I disable my accelerator) or my a600 with aca620. If I take out my aca620 and run my 600 with the 604n extra meg and no accelerator it will work great.

So my question is: Is there a setting in WHDload to make adjustments to the game to possibly play it on a 68020 machine?

I also have tested this in Amiga Forever. As long as I keep it listed as a a500 with a 68000 chip it will work. But if I select a base a1200 it will not. Same issue, music and no screen.

Any ideas????

Works fine here on an A1200. Which WHDLoad version do you use? Try this preinstalled version.

Thanks. And it worked and didn't work.

Let me explain. It does work in my a1200 with a blizz1230mkiv. All I did was unzip the file copied to that 1200 and it worked great.

But I did try it also with my BPPC tower and my 600 with aca620. Both no go. Exact same issue as before. Only music and a black screen. I can understand the BPPC not working, but why would the a600 with the accelerator not work?

Again if I disable the aca620. I can then run the game just fine.

Any ideas, oh but thanks Retro-Nerd, at least I have 1 machine that can play the game.
