GFA Assembler

Has anyone found the original GFA Assembler for the Amiga?

Furthermore, which is the latest version of ...

1> GFA Basic
2> GFA Assembler

and has anyone PDF files of the manuals (not for the Atari version)?

I hope these questions are allowed?

Regards
Marcy

Seems as if GFA Assembler wasn't used very often?

I have .adf's of gfa basic versions 3.041 and 3.51.

The Amiga versions have no more support these days so it maybe ok to upload to the zone? Have to verify this.

There maybe a version 3.52 somewhere but am unsure?

You can obtain the above .adf's on the ftp file server. Just had a look.

@stedsurv

First of all thanks for your reply. As I said, I am not looking for adf's of GFA Basic, I just wanted to know, what is the last version of GFA Basic for Amiga released from GFA Systemtechnik.

And more important, I am looking for GFA Assembler for the Amiga. I never found it anywhere on the net. What was the latest version released? Did you all use Seka or Devpac instead?

It's hard to find any info, you find more info for the Atari version instead.

Please help me.

Regards
Marcy

Never even heard of GFA Assembler, it sounds like something from the early Amiga days. Back then in the mid to late 80's I think Devpac and A68K were the most used ones.

The GFA Assembler for Amiga exists and it is no pre-release. The question is, who has preserved that stuff from disappearing completely?

How sad that nearly no info is found on the net so far!

Marcy

One strange thing, at this Amiga site : http://www.paula8364.com/soamc_background.php
if you look at the source code you find GFA Assembler v1.5+ (Wb).adf maybe you can ask the webmaster.
Kamel PS that guy also seems to have worked on the subject : http://www.twitchfactor.com/T_resume2.htm

Yep, http://dev-docs.atariforge.org/files/GFA_Assember.pdf

See Appendix D, pages 174-176.

Nice bit of digging there.

I've just done an exhaustive FTP search for that file and come up with nothing.
