Monitor display settings - BenQ BL702A

Hello folks,

I hope I've posted this in the right section...

I have a BenQ BL702A I'm using on my A1200. Currently I have the screenmode on my A1200 set to DBLPAL: High Res No FLicker, 256 colours

It's okay, if not a little slow to refresh. I have an 8Mb expansion card in my A1200 so have sufficient RAM.
THe display fills most of the screen, with about 1/2 an inch blank around the edges. I can't see how to get it to fill the entire display. Maybe a setting on the monitor itself?

I was wondering what settings other BENQ users were running with their Amigas and if I was anywhere close to the optimum settings at all?

Any help or advice welcome.
Many thanks.
Keith

Try to move VGAOnly to Devs/Monitors and reboot.

Just checked and VGAOnly is already in there.
But in ScreenMode Prefs, I can't see it. Or am I missing something here?

It's just something that tweaks the other drivers to have higher refresh frequencies.

Thomas asked you to reboot, because the order in which it is invoked is relevant and startup-sequence does this in the right order.

Thank you for explaining that.
This has been done but I'm still curious as to what settings others might be using and how to address the issues I mentioned in my 1st post.

A fullscreen picture might not be possible to achieve, unless there is some kind of aspect ratio = fill setting or similar in the monitor's menu.

I agree, but I can't see anything like that in the monitor's settings. It's not a deal breaker, I'm just curious to see what other users of the monitor have settings wise.

MonEd lets you tweak the settings in real-time for the various screenmodes and can then save them to persist reboots through the Tool Types value:

An interesting tool, thanks for the heads up. I'll have a play with it.
