A600, kipper2k's 4mb board, "Whdload failed returncode 10"
I'll get straight to the point. I have an A600, equipped with 2mb chip ram and 4mb fast (kipper2k's board) and running either on a plain vanilla 3.1 or on CWB68k. I have as serious problem with Whdload. Even though everything has been installed properly it seems i can't run any game. When i click on a slave, there is no action at all, no message regarding Whdload registration info! When i double click on the Whdload file in C, it displays all the info regarding tooltypes and usage tips and it all ends up with an error message "Whdload failed returncode 10". I should state that the memory is properly shown in Workbench and that my keyfile isn't a pirated one. Even though it is a noob question about which i feel embarrassed after all these years of amiga experience and troubleshooting, i'm really stuck and i have ran out of ideas. Any suggestions please?

It is a card that i had in my hands for ages but tested it just now. Practically, it's a problem that i have to face since day 1. I don't imply that it necessarily has to do with your fantastic board but it's just a clue.

Awesome!! Thanks for your kind offer!!! Even though i don't think it has to do with the board, i'll give it a try.

It seems that there is a problem with the either the board or my chip ram module. After running Memtest v1.0 i got the following message
Free memory:5421768 Chip: 19788344. Biggest block: 1978120 Obtained: 0x0001d0f8, 1978120 bytes error at: 00202220 -> ffffffff Error at: 002a2118 -> 0 Does this help? |

Here's what i get after some testing. Besides, when i use the A600 without the 4mb board, Whdload, starts right away so clearly this is the problem then. Waiting for kipper2k's advice on the matter.
Sorry for the huge images! |
