Thanks, going to check that later.

Interestingly, the lisezmoi mentions that the game is sharewar, whereas the current HoL entry lists it as PD/freeware. Not sure where this comes from (earlier or later release used for the entry).

well, there is indeed some interesting info. to get from the archive.

Besides the detailed credits, you can also find that IX is actually Julien Riet and SPH Sylvain Eydieux.
No details about who HPL is (and probably not Howard Philips Lovecraft, although you can suppose a reference).

Looking for more details, I stumbled upon a 2005 interview of SPH. In French, so you guys might want to use google translate if you want to have more details:
http://www.cpc-power.com/aitpast/ind...nterview&id=11

Two interesting things for you though:

1)
Quote:
He says that the version you can find online is 1.2 (the same as Foul posted). A version 1.3 exists, fixing a bug in the high-score table. He never published it though. 'If you are interested, contact me"

So I guess one of you (or I can do it if you are too shy ) could send him a mail to inquire that.
You can find his mail address at the bottom of the interview.

2)
Quote:
Basically he says that the game is a shareware as in "a game provided in full version, players having a moral obligation to donate to the developers if they liked the game".

So apparently the game is full.

Also, it seems like they only got one person who registered the game.

The original disk was given to me by the original authors at the Volcanic Party 5...

I would have registered my version, but I only found it a couple of years ago (probably on an Amiga CD).
