Mediator with Ragnarok

I need a quick answer about having some issue with my A4000 equipped with a Mediator and a Ragnarök PCI PPC card. Is it true that the Mediator will use only the Ragnarok if a Voodoo(3) is added to the config? Is there any other way to get it working without that? I have a Voodoo3 somewhere but my flat is currently completely upside down so can't add that to my config although it was prepared to be ready-to-use when the Mediator, the Ragnarok and all my other stuff will be put in place.
