AGA is Commodore's "revolutionary" Advanced Graphics Architecture chip - introduced first in the A4000, then the A1200.

It basically just allows more colours & better resolutions.

You need to set your emulator up as a A1200 to play AGA games.

"AA" is AGA, it was renamed by Commodore.

Lightbulb

It's getting very late so excuse my fuzzy braincells djay. But I recall at the time of the A1200's launch,(& A4000),magazine's like The One etc. all did make mention of the machine's having the "AA" chipset which was changed in a marketing gimmick. Though I'm quite sure it was AA,(with the next chipset being AAA).

@7-Zark-7

Ahh hhaa... thats right, AAA was the next chipset, i suppose Commodore told developers like The Bitmaps that the chipset was called AA, and the game probably took a while to make...
