Typhoon Stream WiFi Optical Rechargeable mouse: Amiga Edition

Need a new mouse?

We managed to get hold of 192 of these devices, which were originally designed for the PC and customised them to work with the Amiga and Atari ST. A very exclusive production run.

They are £22.99 on eBay or £20.99 on eBid (we are exempt from seller fees on eBid so we pass the saving on to you).

Could you make a Logitech 2,4GHz USB dongle work with the Amiga DB9 port instead of this mouse? A mouse with a cable, a cradle with PSU, and 2 batteries, is a bit too much.

We're not making any claims about the scroller. It's up to you if you can get it going.

Really, is it that important?

We have no plans for doing such a conversion.

What do you mean, a bit too much? The Typhoon is much better than the Logitech as you never have to take out the batteries.

Don't be fooled into thinking that new technology is always better technology. In the case of "tiny dongle" mice, the marketing people have found a way of making people accept a much cheaper to produce and inferior product because, hey, you gotta have a tiny dongle - right?

What they don't tell you, is that you'll be fiddling about with it every few days changing the batteries!

if the batterys are built in and say they go wrong can they be changed?

my reasoning is simple,i have stuff that has built in batterys and when they go wrong its nearly impossible to get replacements.
as an analogy take cordless phones for instance, most peaple leave them sat in the charger all the time and the lifespan of the batterys because of this is a bit short.as there constantly on charge.
