Revolution Software
Remember the great, beautiful, sprite based adventure games of the past?
Beneath a Steel Sky? Lure of the Temptress? Well, over the past few years, these guys have avoided the FPS garbage disease that has polluted PC gaming. No 3D models here. Just beautiful, hand drawn 16 bit freindly gaming. The software house, Revolution, has produced PC classics such as In Cold Blood and the Broken Sword series. The GBA port of the first Broken Sword game is awesome. I am hoping that someone will port these to the next gen Amiga. http://www.brokensword3.com/ http://www.brokensword3.net/previous...tion=downloads |

Yep, vote one for Broken Sword here too. I've got Broken Sword 1 & 2 on the PC,(& the PC Beneath a Steel Sky), & played a bit of Lure of the Temptress on WinUAE.
When you think of the developer's of that Amiga era that have disappeared,it's great they're still around. I hope Broken Sword 3 does come into fruition,(last I saw they were still finalizing which formats it'd appear on). But I agree with Fred, playing on Broken Sword on PC, I always thought this should've been an amiga game. @Mick_AKA. What O/S you have,XP? I haven't tried it on my current Celeron 900 setup/Win 98, but I hope it still works fine. I remember I had to do a full game install otherwise the game crashed swapping CD's. |

No question about it, 7 Zark 7, Amiga can handle this game. I like this kind of PC game, its very beautiful, no 3D anywhere, and just the kind of game the new Amigas should try and attract. Not the PC clone garbage. AS for Beneath a Steel Sky, Mick, you can play it on your Amiga or Winuae.

Getting the PC version working will probably involve making a good old boot disk. Depends on your PC hardware and if you can grab some DOS drivers for your sound card. If not, Kombat's suggestions look like the way forward. I finished this game for the first time last year on my Amiga. Great title. |

Be sure, if you are going to play the Amiga version to have it HD-installed. Way too many disks for floppy play :P
