A1200 expansion memory info required

at the risk of sounding like a complete n00b..

how do you upgrade the A1200 memory? can you do it via the trap door? i would rather not use PCMCIA type as i use EasyADF alot, i would also prefer to not open up my A1200 (but can if thats the only solution) as it new

back in the day i didnt upgrade my original A1200, 2mb Chip was enough... but i am kinda thinking of going to the WHDload road

on my A500 i upgraded the ram via trap door (.5mb) and then i installed an internal card which gave me an extra 1.5mb

any details of memory type and simple install guide would be great

@Djay

It's dead simple to upgrade the 1200.

Most memory expansions will fit in the trapdoor slot without any problems.

If you're only looking to play WHDLoaded games then a standard 4MB card will do.

If you're looking for something a bit more beefier then you could go for something a bit bigger and possibly with a processor on board to speed up your 1200.

Both of these cards pop up now and again. The 2nd one by its nature fetches a lot more money.
