L'Amazone Queen is finally on Amiga in French !

Hello guys,

I have worked on Flight of the Amazon Queen Amiga version, in order to translate it.

So here is what is coming :

* I have changed the FOTAQ screen for the Amazone Queen french title

* i have zoned a version in which the french official translation from the PC cdrom release has been transplanted.

* BUT * I'm working still on my own translation, which is going well

The only problem is coming from some Amos Sprite Banks.

The Amiga version use RAW crunched bitmaps. It's a simple system, but i need an extractor tool and reinserter tool.

I won't go doing it by hand. Basically, each '00' is stored as how many there are in a string for instance :

"12,FC,00,01,06" in the *.BBK file

means :

"00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,FC,00,00,06"

I don't know if it's RLE or Bytekiller. But in anyway, after doing the reverse engineering of the *.BBK files, i'm stuck with this.

any help is welcome.

Pourquoi L'Amazone Queen ???

"Le Vol de la reine Amazone(ienne)" C'est mieux en français non ?

ps: j'ai jamais joué au jeu.. j'ai ptet loupé un truc sur la trad

Idem. Title translation issue IMO.

"Amazon Queen" -> "Reine des Amazones".
"Flight of the Amazon Queen" -> "Le Vol de la Reine des Amazones".

ps. moi j'ai joué au jeu, et jusqu'au bout

edit : je viens de lancer le jeu... dans les dialogues au départ "la jungle d'Amazonie"... uhmm "La jungle Amazonienne" sonnerait mieux

Ce n'est pas ma propre traduction, mais celle officielle du jeu PC CD en français injecté dans la version Amiga.

I have adapted with the help of cr8y and members of the forum A1K.org the Italian version for Amiga already available on the AmigaFuture.de website!

The only problem being that i can't yet translate the interscreen. Those are sprites....

I have extracted them from the PC version, but without a way to reinsert them in the french version on Amiga, i'm stuck.....
