Problem with Alien Breed 1

Right I have it on my HD(hard drive),its a WHDLoad game, and i can run it from igame,Tiny Launcher AG Launcher and menu launcher.

It works fine in WinUAE but when I try it in my A1200 (A1200 with 2mb PCIMCA RAM Card) It don't work, well it starts to load and blackscreen with white flashes and white bits of graphics all over the screen... weird.

So if anyone can help before my hair get ripped out it would be appreciated..

I get a pic or video up soon,I did try get another copy from KG site,I tried that and that wouldn't start at all even on WinUAE.Computers can be so touchy sometimes..lol.

have a look and see if you have your maxtransfer set correctly.

make sure you have all the relivant kickstarts in devs/kickstarts.

then reinstal it to your drive to see if it works.

Please have a look here: http://whdload.de/docs/en/need.html

You need both the skick346 archive from Aminet and the correctly renamed kickstart file.

I had the same (or very similar prob) on my A1200.

Single click the Alien Breed icon, select "Information" from the Icon menu (RAmiga+I) and add the following tooltype:

NOCACHE

The only drawback is that it kills the quit key functionality, unless there is some trick to solve that also. (Guessing the reason quit key requires 68010 or greater according to the documentation is actually the CPU cache.)

NoCache doesn't kill the quit key. NoVBRMove does it.

Strange, I haven't got NoVBRMove set.

EDIT:

I rebooted and tried loading Alien Breed again, now the default quit key '*' works.
