FIXED: Academy (Slave udpate)
Belgarath has just pointed out that when you load up this game there is no mouse pointer on the menu. You can still select the menu options but the mouse pointer is invisible!
You also need the mouse further in to the game as well. Retro-Nerd has tested and cannot get it to show. I've tried a few different files and I can't get any of them to show it. Does anyone have a working version, or can someone else confirm the error using a real Amiga please? (other than Retro-Nerd ) |

Where did you get the Academy image, KG? Do you have other versions? Just tried it with WHDLoad 11.0, still no mouse pointer. The Quartex crack works fine WinUAE.

Right, I'll do my best to find a version with an arrow...

Yes and no, it's there but you can hardly see it normally, i got it to appear properly with cycle exact but then it moved slower than elowar's pet snail.
But if RN says it works fine maybe he knows something I don't. (or he's a filthy filthy liar) |

Well RN is talking about an actual amiga, maybe it handles it better than WinUAE.
I know it can take a hell of a lot of CPU to emulate a mouse pointer. |

I have a real A500, but only with Kick 1.3. Academy is a bit strange, but it works in WinUAE. Tried a normal A500 quickstart, with K 1.2. Untick "Cycle exact" after you see the menue, then it's fast enough.
Here's a short MP4 (XVid) clip from WinUAE/Academy menue. http://www..com/?d1thhccutl3 |
