Amiga 2000 PSU Question
The case is marked 220-240v, but how can I be absolutely certain before I plug it in to a 220-240v transformer?

You could try to google for A2000 PSU images and see if you recognize the same sticker. If you do, then I'd say it's very likely to be a 230v unit, unless someone actually replaced the PSU guts (which is unlikely).
If you're worried about frying your Amiga, then you can disconnect everything and run the PSU alone. Just see if the fan spins. Maybe try to measure the voltage rails while you're at it (just to see that they are not way outside of spec, tho' you need a load to properly measure it). If you fry it, it's not the end of the world, and those old PSUs are not reliable anymore and ought to be modified with a modern PSU. That's what I think, anyway... |

Good advice. I've shifted my desire to an Amiga 1200 though!
